A garden revival at Dunsop Court

Over the last 2 weeks a group of young people from the Lancashire Fire and Rescue Prince’s Trust Blackpool 77 group have completed a garden makeover at Dunsop Court.

They removed a mountain of overgrowth and planted seeds, restored memorial benches and gave garden ornaments a lick of paint as well as erecting a small green house.

All the young people involved each gave a short talk on what they had contributed to the project and what their highlights were during the experience before Sheltered Housing Officer, Julie Rhodes officially declared the garden open by the cutting of a red ribbon.

Many thanks to Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service Team Leader, Rachel Leaver and PCSO Ashley Unsworth, who managed and mentored the young people. Thanks also to DULUX Decorator Centre on Bloomfield Road for kindly donating the paint for the project.
