Contractor pulls out all the stops for local youth charity

Over the last few years the Horsebridge Community Centre had sadly seen a decrease in use and an increase in issues with vandalism and break-ins.

Following consultation with local residents, in response, BCH have been working in partnership with local charity Boathouse Youth to launch a new youth club for young people living in the community. Since January, we have been carrying out a full upgrade to the building and have been overwhelmed by the enormous generosity of our contractors.

Read and Errington have been patrons of the Boathouse Youth charity for a number of years however their support for local causes is immense. As our partner contractor the support they provide to a range of BCH projects and services is likewise.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to Read and Errington who have upgraded the centre’s heating system for free and as if that wasn’t enough, they also arranged for a free boiler from the team at Worcester Bosch.

Not stopping there, our electrical contractors, Technical and Electrical got on board and kindly agreed to do a proportion of the electrical works for free.

As previous winners of our Tenant Projects Fund Community Award, Boathouse Youth provide a much needed outlet for over 50 young people each week and we’re very pleased to be working in partnership with them to deliver better outcomes for our younger residents in the area.

As a patron of Boathouse Youth, Read & Errington are pleased to be associated with its latest project at Horsebridge Rd Grange Park. We wish its truly inspirational team all the success in this venture. When we heard about the project we were more than happy to work with our partners Worcester Bosch to provide a boiler and all associated mechanical works free of charge. We hope this helps them put more into changing the lives of local young people’ Martin, Read and Errington.

Thanks again to our fabulous contractors, Worcester Bosch, Technical and Electrical Services Ltd and Read and Errington for their invaluable support.
