Heating Provision Winter Scheme is a roaring success
At the end of 2017, BCH receiving additional funding from the Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG), to provide heating facilities in owner occupier properties of the most vulnerable disabled clients in Blackpool.
The DFG is managed jointly by our Adaptations and Care & Repair services, who worked closely with our contractors Read & Errington and Technical & Electrical Services to provide new heating installations, boiler replacements and replacement electrical heating systems.
The following heating works were carried out;
- 43 replacement boilers
- 15 full central heating installations
- 2 electrical panel installations
- 2 boiler repairs
Feedback from customers was fantastic, with the following comments being made;
‘The service provided by staff on the phone and caseworkers was 10/10 – Thank you all very much. All the workmen from Read & Errington, gas fitters and carpenter & electricians were all nice and polite lads and 10/10 work rated – even hoovered up after. I have been here since 1979 and have never been so cosy – thank you’
‘Thanks to all involved very grateful’
